Why read it?

2 authors picked Edenbrooke as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

Jennifer Beckstrand

Author

Edenbrooke is an easy read full of pure pleasure. This book explores innocence and idealistic love, and I adore it just for that reason. Last year I interviewed Julianne on my book club, and she talked about how since her divorce, she can’t write a book like Edenbrooke ever again. I told her that the innocence is what I love about her book. Most of us have moved past innocence, but we still like to visit that place and remember when love was young and fresh and new and we believed in the beauty of our dreams.

Danielle Thorne

Author

Lately becoming known as a modern and very recent classic, Edenbrooke is sweet romantic fiction at its best with authentic echoes of Jane Austen. The setting is well-established, the characters multi-dimensional, and the writing is elegant and beautiful. It is a romance novel that can be enjoyed again and again, and it's a shame that it hasn't been brought to film yet.

From Danielle's list on The best clean and wholesome historical romances.
