Turns out, there was (like pretty much every other topic you could name) way more that I didn't know, and Brian Doherty's meticulously researched Dirty Pictures had tons to impart to me, including scads of detail about the personal drama, feuds, etc., in the bristly comix community of that era (late 60s - 70s, mostly).
