Why read it?

3 authors picked Delilah Green Doesn't Care as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

I loved Delilah!

Salty, spicy, funny, and totally relatable, the main character, Delilah, became the most memorable character of the year for me. The story was funny, touching, and very, very (did I mention very) sexy. It dove into family dynamic complexities and explored what being an outsider is like.

I laughed out loud multiple times, rooted for the MC even when she was making terrible decisions, and wanted to read it again the moment it ended. Super fun read and so hard to put down.

From Dana's list on swoony, sapphic RomComs.

Delilah Green is a tough-as-nails photographer being asked to come back to her hometown to photograph her step-sister’s wedding, even though Delilah’s dad has long since passed away and she is estranged from his wife and her daughter.

She doesn’t count on falling for her step-sister’s best friend and maybe her own baggage along the way. I adore Delilah and you’re rooting for her even when she’s sabotaging herself. It has great sequels as well.

A gorgeous fun-filled small-town sapphic romance (lesbian and bisexual rep). Delilah is a struggling photographer in New York when she’s persuaded home to Bright Falls to photograph her estranged stepsister’s wedding. As well as fighting from a place of hurt with her stepsister Astrid, Delilah falls for Claire, Astrid’s BFF.

The writing is sassy and smart and oh-so-much fun, but this is no pure rom-com. There’s depth to the characters, even the minor ones like Claire’s daughter Ruby, and her friend Iris. Delilah, too, isn’t the shallow don’t-care person of the title. She’s holding a world of hurt inside her…

From Cheyenne's list on sapphic romances that have a deeper side.
