I adore writers willing to show me their soft underbelly, who make themselves truly vulnerable, and Frangello does this with intensity.

Reading this memoir made me want to strive for deeper honesty in my own writing. It made me feel less alone with secrets from my past, the experiences and youthful decisions that caused me shame in adulthood. I have also enjoyed talking with others about Frangello's willingness to go there in print.
