I was engrossed by this crisp, deeply researched book by a journalist who wrote for the Wall Street Journal in Beijing and the Financial Times in Hong Kong.

I grieved at his description of how Apple has ended up transferring all its advanced technological knowledge to its Chinese workers and vendors. When Apple set up a factory in the U.S. in the early 2020s, it brought over Chinese engineers from China to bring it online.

While sad for Apple, I was glad to see that others, in the first company to be worth a trillion dollars, made the same mistakes…
