I've been delving further into psychological horror lately, as that's also what I like to write. Ramsey Cambell has been one of my favorite writers for many decades, and this book is a special treat. Not your typical haunted house story, though...it's much more subtle than that. Campbell weaves in great family dynamics, a subtle humor, and the sharpest eye for detail. Superbly written!
