Why read it?

1 author picked A Gift Upon the Shore as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

The characters in this book and the writing are so believable, and the centering of books, art, and hope makes this a stand-out from the gray zombie-infested wastelands of recent mainstream post-apocalyptic stories.
