My favorite read in 2026

Book cover of One Nation Under Blackmail Vol. 1

Wendy Lee Hermance ❤️ loved this book because...

It is not an easy book to read. Not only is this because it is so dense with historical facts - each one startling, each fact exhaustively reference-cited - but because the information presented is so disturbing. In a nutshell, Zionism has been behind organized crime, banking, drug and sex trafficking, and government - setting policy, choosing or assassinating US Presidents, and sowing seeds in all our industries for over 100 years.

Why should I read it?

What is this book about?

One Nation Under Blackmail is a damning indictment of the consequences resulting from the nearly century old relationship between both US and Israeli intelligence and the organized criminal network known as the National Crime Syndicate. This book specifically explores how that nexus between intelligence and organized crime directly developed the sexual blackmail tactics and networks that would later enable the sexual blackmail operation and other crimes of deceased pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Other books on Jeffrey Epstein focus on the depraved nature of his crimes, his wealth, and his most famous/politically-connected friends and acquaintances. This book, in contrast,…

My 2nd favorite read in 2026

Book cover of One Nation Under Blackmail Vol. 2

Wendy Lee Hermance ❤️ loved this book because...

Equally as difficult to read as the first volume, and matter-of-fact, exhaustively researched. Why bother being disturbed to learn about the organized Evil behind our governments and industries? Because it makes sense of the success of drug trafficking, bank fraud and "failures" the moral poverty and economic poverty of the "richest nation," and the normalization of violence.

My 3rd favorite read in 2026

Book cover of 21

Wendy Lee Hermance 👍 liked this book because...

Between 2025 and 2026 I read the full Aubrey-Maturin series. Best-known for the first volume, "Master and Commander," O'Brian composed the series, from 1969 until his death in 2000. That commitment commands respect, even when his writing may have flailed, or become formulaic. It is critical that we remember our history, especially as Artificial Intelligence, mainstream media Narrative Control, and alternative media crisis actors and limited hangouts are being used against us to erase our histories, and our ability to read and think freely.

What is this book about?

Blue at the Mizzen (novel #20) ended with Jack Aubrey getting the news, in Chile, of his elevation to flag rank: Rear Admiral of the Blue Squadron, with orders to sail to the South Africa station. The next novel, unfinished and untitled at the time of the author's death, would have been the chronicle of that mission, and much else besides. The three chapters left on O'Brian's desk at the time of his death are presented here both in printed version-including his corrections to the typescript-and a facsimile of his manuscript, which goes several pages beyond the end of the…

Weird Foods of Portugal: Adventures of an Expat

By Wendy Lee Hermance ,

Book cover of Weird Foods of Portugal: Adventures of an Expat

What is my book about?

“With her typically American intrepidness, her thirst for a
good story and her power of observation, Hermance
closes-in on the Portuguese she encounters along the way,
bringing to us a psychological picture of the Portuguese
individual and society that you won´t find on expat guides.
Lastly, her unusual grasp for “Portuguese quaintness” also
makes this book worth buying."
