So charming. At eight years old, Alfie discovers he has a special power also possessed by his dying mother and grandmother. This power allows him a second chance at anything in his life—as simple as saying "twice." Throughout the years, Alfie uses this a lot to redo some of his failings. But once he redoes it, he must live with the result for good. The one exception to his power is that his true love can only love him once, so if he's not careful he could destroy the most important person and relationship in his life. Mitch Albom is a brilliant storyteller.
THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER 'Thought-provoking, heartwarming and compelling' DAILY MAIL
A stunning and emotional new novel from the author of Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. __________

I've become a sucker for books about books, so I excitedly ate this one up. Fern is a (somewhat whiny, somewhat petty, definite complainer) writer who gets her first book deal and deals with all the imposter syndrome, drama, and jealousy that comes with that through the new release Slack group—in NYC at the height of COVID-19. The publishing components are addictive. The woman drama gets tiring. One ugly incident happens after another and Fern has a serious moral dilemma to deal with. Several, in fact. I enjoyed her trials and tribulations. Felt real and relatable. Good book.
"Read Between the Lies is a dark, delicious takedown of cancel culture and the publishing industry-I read it in two sittings because I had to stop midway and go Google my own name. Highly recommend." -Mindy Kaling
In this claustrophobic psychological suspense from USA Today bestselling author Jesse Q. Sutanto, the line between victim and villain blurs with every chapter. Because in the end, everyone has their own version of the truth-but only one will make it onto the page.
Fern's dream of becoming a published author is finally coming true. After years of rejection, her debut novel has sold,…
A pleasant surprise. I was hesitant to try a political thriller with all the world has become, but I found this riveting from the start. There's just enough history without the author trying to show how smart he is. The White House is the backdrop, yes, but it's not about politics—it's about the fictional president and his mysterious life. Short scenes, non-stop action, lots of cliffhangers. So much fun. It's "National Treasure" in a novel, filled with conspiracies, secrets, and unknown truths. Definitely will keep reading the series (which I appreciate is only three books and not, say, eight or ten).
The darkest secret of the U.S. Presidency is about to be revealed.
Beecher White, a young archivist for the US government, has always been the keeper of other people's stories, never a part of the story himself . . . Until now.
While Beecher is showing Clementine Kaye, his first childhood crush, around the National Archives, they accidentally uncover a priceless artefact - a two-hundred-year-old dictionary once belonging to George Washington. Suddenly Beecher and Clementine are entangled in a web of conspiracy and murder.
Beecher's race to learn the truth behind this mysterious treasure will lead to a code that…
