Book cover of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

❤️ loved this book because...

I'd had this book on my TBR list for ages and finally got round to reading it. It was brilliant! Such a twisty plot that I couldn't put it down and read the whole thing in a single setting. Promptly followed it up with the other two books in the trilogy.

My 2nd favorite read in 2025

Book cover of The Hive

❤️ loved this book because...

I want more books like this, a mashup of my two favourite things: fantasy and murder. The plot of the murder mystery was satisfying and the world/setting was also super interesting. I haven't changed since last year in that I still prefer plot first, romance secondary, and this book also delivers on that front - a little hint of romance but it's not the main point of the story.

Book cover of The Inheritance Games

❤️ loved this book because...

Another one that I'd had on my TBR list for a while. I enjoyed all the games and puzzles, and the unfolding mystery. A little too much emphasis on the love triangle for me, but still a great read.
