Book cover of The Left-Handed Twin

Andrew Welsh-Huggins ❤️ loved this book because...

Perry had (sadly, he passed this year) an amazing ability in simple prose to write propulsive plots that had you racing to find out what happens next.

Andrew Welsh-Huggins ❤️ loved this book because...

Connelly has perfected the ability to draw readers into police investigations in a perfectly objective fashion, without resorting to "copaganda" and leaving you guessing until the end.

Book cover of We Are All Guilty Here

Andrew Welsh-Huggins ❤️ loved this book because...

Karin Slaughter has a penchant for writing novels as dark as Stephen King without the supernatural element. She can describe absolutely sordid, awful plot twists on one page, and have you laughing at characters' comments the next. Her books also feel extremely realistic when it comes to police procedure and the ups and downs of being in law enforcement.
