❤️ loved this book because...

I love Holly Black's books and it was amazing to return to Cardan and Jude's world in this duology. As always, although there is romance it isn't the only point of the story and there is a fully fledged action-packed plot alongside it, which is my preference.

❤️ loved this book because...

This is a really different kind of book with a plot built around games and puzzles. So many YA fantasy books are romance foremost these days, but I prefer a good knotty plot! This one is rather like a classic crime novel, clever and mysterious.
