After experiencing a devastating breakup, I sought out every book I could that might help me get through that confusing, chaotic time. I was drawn to stories about healing after heartbreak and particularly ones on fated love, as I believed if I could find my soulmate, I would be certain I would have a love that would never again fail. As I read these books, I began chronicling my own journey in my memoir, and then later on, launching Rock That Relationship!, a podcast about manifesting positive relationships. My hope was that the book and podcast would help others through their own journeys from heartbreak to healing to love.
In Maybe in Another Life, I was moved by how two distinct journeys stemming from one somewhat insignificant life choice can lead to a pre-destined outcome and fated love.
This book really leans into how the Universe may have bigger plans for us, regardless of how we choose to get there, which challenged my notion of the “one path-one destination” outlook when it comes to fate. I was left intrigued and inspired by the role of free will, but affirmed that destiny is destiny, after all.

So much so, that like Natasha, I wanted to seek out an astrologer to discover my elusive soulmate’s birth date and place so I could begin the search for true love.
During so many moments in the story, I could feel the wavering sense of desperation and hope as Natasha combed through every possible prospect for love, even the ones who were not a fit! I cheered her on, hoping not only would she meet her soulmate but that her strategy for doing so would work, providing us all a blueprint for finding “the one.”
It's the cusp of Natasha Sizlo's forty-fourth birthday. Still reeling from her disastrous divorce, she's navigating life as a single mum alongside a cutthroat career in LA real estate. In the meantime, her ex-husband is dating a Hollywood star and she's just broken it off with her handsome but non-committal French boyfriend. Just when it seems things can't get worse, her beloved father is given months to live.
So when she's gifted a session with an astrologist, Natasha - though a sceptic - figures she has nothing to lose. The reading…

This book inspired me to see that second chances at love might not simply be an opportunity to reconnect with an old flame, but instead, the Universe’s way of guiding us to our destiny.
I have always believed soulmate romance to be one in which you cross paths with a stranger, and a magnetism emerges. But the idea of finding your way back to someone you already know affirmed for me that trusting my intuition, leaning into divine timing, and taking chances might lead me back to a great love that somehow got away.

This was a breath of fresh air for me, affirming how messy, raw, and sometimes completely chaotic the quest to heal and move on after heartbreak can be, particularly given that I read it after a difficult breakup.
As I tagged along with Gabrielle through her travels, witnessing her make one questionable decision after the next, all in an effort to stop hurting and find love and happiness, I saw how forging through “the mess” is simply part of the healing process.
Her book inspired me to take chances, even if they backfire, put myself out there, and embrace the idea that the journey to heal and find love can be far more important than any destination.
While this story isn’t about actually finding that fated love, it’s about her own destiny to embark on a journey of self-love, which, to me, is the best love you can find.
A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a nineteen-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left.
Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay…
I didn’t read much when I was young. But I’ve always loved stories, and found them in TV, films, and comics. It wasn’t until I was older that I found that books can contain the most amazing adventures that connect with your imagination and makes them seem even more real than on the big screen. Discovering children’s books with my daughter, and writing my own, I wished I could have read more when I was young. I try my best to encourage young people to find the joy in reading, in the hope that they don’t miss out on all those amazing stories.
Dave and his best friend Skipper are a hilarious comedy double act. You can’t help wanting to be friends with these two rogue pigeons and joining in with their crazy antics. I particularly love the way they talk to each other. Swapna Haddow’s dialogue is delightful and Sheena Dempsey’s wonderful illustrations, which are a huge part of the book, really bring out a sense of fun in the story. Lots of artwork and speak bubbles help to break up the text making this easy and a pleasure to read.
WINNER of the Greenhouse Funny Prize; SHORTLISTED for the Sainsbury's Book Award and numerous regional awards, this hilarious series is adored by its readers!
If you can read this, you obviously understand Pigeonese. You may read my book.
If you're a cat and you've learnt Pigeonese . . . (HA HA HA! As if a cat would be smart enough to learn Pigeonese). This must mean if you are a cat and you are able to read this, you have taken a pigeon hostage so that you can trick them into translating the Pigeonese words into Meow. I demand you…
Marcia Naomi Berger's passion is to help people create lasting, fulfilling marriages. An experienced clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and medical school clinical faculty member, Berger has held senior-level positions in child welfare, alcoholism treatment, and psychiatry. She says, "I stayed single for a long time because of my parent's divorce. Now happily married for over thirty-four years, I fill my books with the hard-earned wisdom I've gained professionally and personally."
I like this book because the author shares her story of transforming a heartbreaking broken engagement into enhanced self-understanding and a happy marriage. The book is easy to read. As the title suggests, if a woman loves herself before entering a relationship, she'll choose wisely instead of marrying someone who's not right for her to prove she deserves love.
I'm impressed by the author's affirmation of serendipity, willingness to be open to the unexpected. Christine used to think her future marriage partner should have traits like her ex-fiancé had: average height, a full head of hair, and professional occupation.
Before she felt ready for another serious relationship, Christine writes that she started dating a man who was bald, very tall, and seemed to lack ambition. She found him fun, comfortable, and with excellent character traits. Christine married him.
Full of sass, soul, and the type of empowering wisdom that no woman should live without, Choosing ME before WE is like a heart-to-heart with your closest girlfriend. And best of all, you’ll discover that your closest girlfriend is your own truest self, inside you, always ready to offer wise, loving advice about what is best for you.

I am inspired and driven by a lifelong curiosity about the larger framework of complexities and interconnectedness of evolution and its impact on our environment. Since childhood, this fascination has fueled my science career and compelled me to explore various viewpoints on the subject. My aim is not merely to grasp the direction of evolution but to unveil aspects of its driving force, empowering us to become more aware of the diverse avenues available for personal development. I appreciate these books for their valuable insights, which contribute to demystifying our evolutionary path and enriching the importance of mindfulness, intention, and emotional awareness as key components of our growth.
This is a book that I will undoubtedly recommend to future generations as we collectively expand our consciousness and recognize the importance of synchronicity in our lives.
Having collaborated with Bernie on projects related to synchronicity and consciousness, I have witnessed firsthand his immense passion and keen perceptions derived from his lifelong research on meaningful coincidences. Bernie expertly guides readers through a wealth of data and personal experiences, revealing how we can become more attuned to this critical phenomenon and its role in fostering a stronger collective consciousness.
This book builds upon Carl Jung’s pioneering work and will resonate with readers for generations to come. Bernie’s humor and personal anecdotes make it an engaging, enlightening, and truly delightful read.

I taught astrology in-person and online for 10 years, have consulted professionally for 40, and have written many articles in astrological newsletters and magazines, some of which have been published internationally. For the past 14 years I’ve been a staff writer for Horoscope Guide Magazine, and have been interviewed frequently on talk radio, podcasts, and newspapers, including The New York Post.
In a refreshing break from standard fare, Kempton-Smith uses humor with deep insight to describe the components of a horoscope in a writing style that is more amenable to the contemporary reader who is seeking the fundamentals of horoscope analysis. Descriptions of planets, signs, and aspects are instructive and instantly applicable in her many clear examples. The unique chapter on "Astrology for Daily Living" illustrates how astrology is used in mundane events and other areas that is not found in most texts. Her techniques for determining the best days for those born under certain signs to undertake endeavors is highly recommended, and her overall mass appeal is up-beat and entertaining.
I am a full-time practicing astrologer who’s been in practice for over 35 years. There’s a lot of misconceptions about this noblest and holy science and I’ve written extensively over the years to explain things to the best of my ability. I am the author of Sun Sign Success, Pendulum Power, Your Personal Horoscope (a series that is going on for 29 years now), The Magic Stone, A Spiritual View Of The 12 Signs, The Moving Universe, and numerous articles in the astrological press. Grant Lewi was a legendary astrologer. He was the editor of Dell’s Horoscope magazine in the 1930s and '40s. He died in 1951 and this book is most likely out of print, but you can still get it on the Internet. He was such a master that he simplified the casting and interpretation of Horoscopes to a level that beginners could understand. A great entry point into astrology. The legend is that he knew the date of his death from his horoscope and bought a large life insurance policy shortly before that! His heirs did well and he paid next to nothing.

I've had a deep passion for the esoteric world since childhood. I read books on everything to do with ghosts, magic, and astral travel, and began drawing up astrology charts from books I had borrowed from the library as a teenager. I studied astrology back in the mid-1980s when the new age was in full swing. Ten years later I went back to university and studied to become a psychologist. I am a firm believer that an understanding of personality through depth psychotherapy, and the hidden wisdom found in alternative schools of knowledge, can enhance one’s personal and spiritual growth in the difficult times we face today.
I was fortunate to have attended a lecture in 1988 presented by Liz Greene, I didn’t quite understand much of what she said because I was just a beginner, but I loved her passion and how other astrologers held onto every word she spoke. This was one of my first books on psychological astrology and I have bought nearly every book she has ever written since. Understanding the very basics of personality gives astrology an incredible foundation on which to then learn how to read the natal chart. This does just that.
Greene and Sasportas focus on psychological complexes and astrological factors that encompass issues from childhood, including the stages of childhood, the parental marriage, subpersonalities and more. An important book helping those in the counseling process.
