Will I love The Lost Symbol?

I loved reading this book because as the protagonist, Robert Langdon, searches for his mentor who has been kidnapped, it incorporates mysterious codes, hidden tunnels and chambers, and a series of clandestine secrets.

It is well-paced, with the suspense building throughout the novel. I thought the suspense and mystery throughout was riveting.

I loved this Dan Brown thriller for immersing me into an unbelievable history of the Washington DC political, government, and architectural underbelly.

The complex plot full of minute details, took me on a roller coaster ride of secret societies' workings, dangerous scientific experiments on meditation to esoteric interpretation of scriptures and enlightenment. All the while Brown managed to keep the antagonist’s identity and true motivations behind his action hidden, keeping me on the edge till the very end. 

Dan Brown grabs you within the first few pages and holds on to you through the whole book. The pace is frantic and can leave you breathless at times.

There's a great character twist at the end but I was a tiny bit disappointed with the ending. The story went so deep into the symbolic and mythical world, I guess I expected more. Perhaps I just wanted more.
