Why read it?
1 author picked The Good Virus as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
Tom Ireland writes extremely well. Although this is his first book, it is clear that he has a lot of experience in writing well from his job as editor of a popular science magazine.
The story being presented here is about how the science of phages has unraveled over the last 130 years or so and how they are important in many areas of contemporary science and medicine today. There are not many truly original stories left to tell–there are, for example, any number of books on evolution–but here is a story that is genuinely thrilling and new.
From Daniel's list on immune health from a prof of immunology.
