Will I love The Alignment Problem?

I love how Christian writes about machine learning the way I think about painting, as a long conversation between intention and accident.

He moves between research labs and moral philosophy with the lightness of a grounded intellectual. I came for the technical clarity and stayed for the humanity in it.

I was fascinated by how this book explains the "glitches" in AI as reflections of our own human flaws. 

It made me look at my own biases in a whole new way. I love how the author tells stories about the history of technology to show why it is so hard to teach a machine what humans actually value.

Even though the topic sounds technical, I found the writing very conversational and gripping. It felt like reading a detective story where the "mystery" is our own morality. It left me thinking deeply about what it really means to be a… show more.

This book hit me like an emotional thunderbolt! I found myself having deep 2 am conversations with myself about consciousness and ethics. There's this one passage about AI values that made me put the book down and stare at my ceiling for an hour, just processing.

I've already bought four copies to give to friends because I need people to discuss this with!
