Why am I passionate about this?

I am an experiencer who has had a lot of experiences with otherworldly beings for the last several years now, and I am also an inventor in my own right with one patent. I feel I have the ability to pay attention to detail, and I'm very analytical when it comes to making sense of things I can read, see, and hear. In my book, I give detailed explanations of my experiences from my encounters, and I am a very practical person, where I have the tendency to analyze mostly everything I do.

The books I picked & why

Book cover of Communion

Marvin Harding Why I love this book

I highly recommend this book because it is one of the most influential and thought‑provoking books ever written on the UFO phenomenon, blending personal experience with cultural impact.

Strieber recounts his chilling encounters with mysterious “visitors” in vivid detail, describing moments of paralysis, lost time, and hypnotically recovered memories that challenge the boundaries between dream, reality, and the unknown. His narrative is not just about alien abduction—it's about confronting the limits of human understanding, exploring whether these beings are extraterrestrial, interdimensional, or something entirely different.

I am an experiencer myself. Although our stories are very different, I can say that extraterrestrials are real without question, and his book is a good read!

By Whitley Strieber ,

Why should I read it?

2 authors picked Communion as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author.

The message of Communion, that something unknown is really happening to people but that we have not studied it enough to understand it, remains as timely now as it was in 1987 when the book was first published. And Whitley Strieber's riveting account of what he experienced, along with his relentless and expert pursuit of the reality behind the experience, is…

Book cover of UFO Sightings: The Evidence

Marvin Harding Why I love this book

I highly recommend this book because it offers one of the most balanced and skeptical examinations of the UFO phenomenon available.

Unlike many books that lean heavily into sensational claims, Sheaffer applies the scientific method and critical thinking to famous cases, exposing how misidentifications, cultural myths, and selective reporting often fuel the UFO narrative.

His work provides readers with a broad overview of major sightings and trends in ufology, while also highlighting the importance of questioning extraordinary claims and demanding credible evidence.

Why should I read it?

2 authors picked UFO Sightings as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

Engaging and entertaining, UFO Sightings: The Evidence is the most up-to-date overview of the UFO phenomenon, a controversy that gains strength with each new report of strange happenings in the sky. Written from the skeptical perspective, and applying the scientific method to the cases explored, this book differs greatly from the proparanormal tomes widely available today.

"Most broad survey UFO books contain absolutely uncritical presentations of sensational claims," says author Robert Sheaffer. "Typically, pro-UFO books deliberately omit all facts that tend to discredit the cases."

UFO Sightings is unique because it gives the reader a broad overview of the world…

Book cover of The Science Of Aliens

Marvin Harding Why I love this book

I highly recommend this book because it takes a uniquely scientific yet imaginative approach to the question of extraterrestrial life.

Instead of relying on speculation alone, Pickover blends biology, physics, and astronomy to explore what alien life might realistically look like, how it could evolve, and the environments it might inhabit. He examines possibilities ranging from microbial organisms to advanced civilizations, grounding each scenario in scientific principles while still leaving room for wonder.

This makes the book both intellectually stimulating and accessible, appealing to readers who want more than just UFO anecdotes—they want a thoughtful exploration of life beyond Earth.

What is this book about?

If extraterrestrials ever landed on Earth, they would find us extremely strange. Their first intimation of our existence might well be a Super Bowl broadcast or a stray transmission from the Playboy channel. But, of course, they might seem equally strange to us. How strange? Their senses could be entirely different from ours, they might see in the infrared or hear" radio waves. What would aliens look like? An intelligent octopus-like creature is certainly plausible. What about odd numbers of limbs,a three-legged alien with three arms and three eyes? What about an entire planet of immobile, silicon-based trees" that communicate with each…

Book cover of UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record

Marvin Harding Why I love this book

I highly recommend this book because it is a groundbreaking investigative book that compiles credible testimonies from military, aviation, and government figures to argue that UFOs represent a genuine, unexplained phenomenon worthy of serious study.

The book begins by establishing its journalistic foundation: Kean emphasizes that while most UFO sightings can be explained as misidentifications, a small percentage—roughly 5–10% remain unexplained even after investigation. These cases often involve highly trained observers such as military pilots, radar operators, and government officials.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Impeccably researched, this riveting journalistic investigation separates fact from fiction, and documents the existence of—and government reactions to—actual UFOs.

Book cover of Intimate Alien: The Hidden Story of the UFO

Marvin Harding Why I love this book

I highly recommend this book because it is a thought-provoking exploration of UFOs not as physical spacecraft, but as powerful cultural myths that reveal deep truths about human psychology and spirituality.

Halperin, a scholar of religious studies, argues that UFOs are “real” in the sense that myths are real. They embody collective fears, desires, and questions about our place in the universe.

By David J. Halperin ,

Why should I read it?

2 authors picked Intimate Alien as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

A voyage of exploration to the outer reaches of our inner lives.

UFOs are a myth, says David J. Halperin-but myths are real. The power and fascination of the UFO has nothing to do with space travel or life on other planets. It's about us, our longings and terrors, and especially the greatest terror of all: the end of our existence. This is a book about UFOs that goes beyond believing in them or debunking them and to a fresh understanding of what they tell us about ourselves as individuals, as a culture, and as a species.

In the 1960s,…
