I'm not usually a fan of epistolatory novels but I absolutely adored this one. Evans does a remarkable job of drawing out her character's lives. And the audio version is a real treat with a different voice for each correspondent. Getting to know their voices along with their lives deepened the story for me.

Loved, loved, loved it. My only complaint is the portrayal of the foster care system as so completely broken. I work in that world and yes, there are MANY problems, but there are also incredible families helping young people overcome trauma. Wish Lousia had been blessed by such a family. Of course, she does find her family--doesn't she?? Gorgeous story.
