The characters are great, and there is some good disability rep. I love how the love story unfolds and the badass heroine who nonetheless has a vulnerable side and thus is very human and relatable.

It was so interesting to see the world of humans from the POV of someone who had only ever lived in the ocean. Not just "What's a fire and how does it burn?" kind of thing but so much more.
