My favorite read in 2025

Book cover of Anxious People

Kim Hudson ❤️ loved this book because...

When I began the book I was uncomfortable learning it was about suicide. I stuck with it because the writing was spectacular - thought provoking metaphors and really funny moments that make you think about how quirky life is. The characters became real people to me and I so liked them. Returning to the book was like meeting up with friends. I never wanted to leave that love based world but I'm sure it is caring on somewhere.

Book cover of Remarkably Bright Creatures

Kim Hudson ❤️ loved this book because...

It is a wonderful feeling when we meet several characters and see their lives intersect in surprising ways. These characters span ages and species and nationalities. The writing brilliantly give each character a unique voice. In many ways we are following their everyday normal lives but we start to see how beautiful each of our efforts are.

Book cover of A Different Kind of Power

Kim Hudson ❤️ loved this book because...

It is so refreshing to hear the details of how a politician broke free of the norm and created a government based on kindness. Anyone who is sensitive, or caring has a template for being a good leader through the example of this book.

The Bridge: Connecting The Powers of Linear and Circular Thinking

By Kim Hudson ,

Book cover of The Bridge: Connecting The Powers of Linear and Circular Thinking

What is my book about?

The Bridge: Connecting the Powers of Circular and Linear Thinking highlights the advantages of supporting both linear and circular thinking styles within our organizations and our personal lives. The Bridge framework emerged from recent advances in neuroscience, the example of successful leaders, and Hudson's own experiences as a geologist, land claims negotiator, consultant to First Nations, and story analyst.

With curiosity and compassion, Hudson aligns stories with scientific research to introduce a framework for linear and circular thinking. Linear thinking optimizes competition, excellence, safety, productivity, justice, and more. Circular thinking optimizes creativity, learning, inclusion, change management, and much more.

Consciously separating linear from circular thinking allows us to apply the optimal operating principles and double our power.
