Book cover of Chosen by a Horse

Karen A. Anderson ❀️ loved this book because...

The best part of this book was the healing connection between the horse and her rescuer. The bonds we form with animals are powerful and life-changing. Their love and trust help us learn to be better humans, especially under challenging circumstances. I've always rescued animals so this book resonated deeply with my heart and soul.

What is this book about?

When she agrees to take on one of the abused horses just rescued by the local SPCA, a new chapter opens in Susan Richards's difficult life.

She lost her mother at the age of five and was raised by uncaring relatives; she married unhappily and divorced; and she'd been an alcoholic. Now, at the age of forty-three, she lives with three horses who keep her company: the diva-like Georgia, boyish Tempo and hopelessly romantic Hotshot.

While trying to capture another horse assigned to her, Lay Me Down, a skeletal mare, walks into Susan's horse trailer of her own volition. When…

Book cover of The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved to Me There's Life After Death

Karen A. Anderson ❀️ loved this book because...

I loved how this book had me anticipating what the next cryptic messages from Billy would mean. Those 'aha moments' were awesome. Spirit messages are not always straight forward. They can see into our future and share things with us that haven't happened so nothing makes sense.

I've experienced this so many times in my work as a medium and animal communicator. Deparated humans and pets delivered messages that none of us understood at the time of our session, however, I often heard back later that the circumstances became perfectly clear and played out exactly as predicted.

It is a heartwarming, fun, and witty look into the connections and bonds we share with our loved ones.

What is this book about?

In 2004, bad boy Billy Fingers Cohen, a homeless small-time drug dealer and addict in a state of drug induced euphoria ran into a busy intersection and was killed instantly by a speeding automobile. He left behind a grieving sister. For weeks she struggled with grief and tried to make sense of Billy's seemingly wasted life and tragic death.

A few weeks after his death, William Cohen, aka Billy Fingers, woke his sister Annie at dawn. 'I'm drifting weightlessly through these glorious stars and galaxies and I feel a Divine Presence, a kind, loving beneficent presence, twinkling all around me.'…

What is this book about?

Soon to be a major motion picture, this heart-warming and inspirational tale follows Enzo, a loyal family dog, tells the story of his human family, how they nearly fell apart, and what he did to bring them back together.

Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: he thinks and feels in nearly human ways. He has educated himself by watching extensive television, and by listening very closely to the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up-and-coming race car driver. Through Denny, Enzo realizes that racing is a metaphor: that by applying the techniques a driver would apply on…
