This was an additional story beyond the original trilogy of stories by John Deacon (which I was a big fan of). So, I was excited to see another book come out to continue the story. As old as the storylines of old westerns gets, I think John Deacon has a knack for recreating this genre in a new and fresh way, so I enjoy the characters he's created. Then, seeing the "good guys" come out on top is always going to be a favorite outcome in any fictional book I read!
With everything on the line, Justice breaks all the rules…Newly married, Justice and Nora honeymoon in New York City, where they rescue an orphan girl, track down Don Antonio Garza’s lawyer, and dole out some good, old fashioned, Western justice.
Then it’s on to Mexico. Justice and an old friend ride into the wild borderlands, where they face bandidos, Apaches, rurales, and the formidable assassin, Mr. Rose.
Can Justice take down Garza, avenge the murder of his father, and create a good life for his family?
Final Justice is another classic John Deacon Western with a touch of romance.
I appreciated Wilfred Reilly's no-nonsense approach in challenging much of the misinformation about history that permeates the public today. He simply lays out facts, letting all of that tell the story, rather than trying to force the facts to fit into his conclusions. It's refreshing for someone to take a step back, and examine historical events without being swayed simply by what's popular or what's en vogue with public perception.
A college professor debunks the myths that have infiltrated America's school curricula.
In 1995, James W. Loewen penned the classic work of criticism Lies My Teacher Told Me, a left-leaning corrective that addressed much of what was sanitized and omitted from American history books.
But in the decades that followed, false leftist narratives—as wrong as those they supplanted—have come to dominate American academia and education. Now, in the same spirit but updated for 2024, Wilfred Reilly demolishes the scholastic myths propagated by the left, uncovers fresh angles on “established” events, and turns what we think we know about history upside…
I am generally going to like most anything Dean Koontz writes, but this story was extra-original. The characters are well-developed, and the fictional creativity is very unique compared to other stories. You kept wanting to continue in order to see what was going to happen next!
Dean Koontz has surpassed his longtime reputation as “America's most popular suspense novelist”(Rolling Stone) to become one of the most celebrated and successful writers of our time. Reviewers hail his boundless originality, his art, his unparalleled ability to create highly textured, riveting drama, at once viscerally familiar and utterly unique.
Author of one #1 New York Times bestseller after another, Koontz is at the pinnacle of his powers, spinning mysteries and miracles, enthralling tales that speak directly to today's readers, balm for the heart and fire for the mind. In this stunning new novel, he delivers a tour de force…
As the second book in the "Holy Terror" trilogy series, this prequel, Holy Terror Quickened, follows the rise of Thumos, the last angel created by God. As the avenging angel, Thumos is tasked with protecting God's new creation, humans, against various perils – including the rebellious Satan, formerly known as Lucifer.
The story delves into the celestial conflicts and the emotional struggles of Thumos as he navigates his duties and relationships with both humans and fellow angels. Meanwhile, on Earth, we witness the development of the Jelani, Madigan, and Valenzuela families - all of whom we originally met in the first book. The narrative intertwines divine justice with human resilience, creating a compelling tale of faith and redemption.
