I absolutely loved this take on holidays and the royalty lines associated with them. Plus, a queer romance? Yes please! The banter was fun to read and the emotions the characters exhibited were realistic. I also loved the world building with magic, side characters, and the set up for future books.
It's more of a reference book so I read it in small chunks. I loved the illustrations and added essays by guest authors. It felt a like thorough look at women in horror from the OGs like Mary Shelley and Shirley Jackson to the more recent reads that have overtaken bookshelves. I really enjoyed this author's take on grumpy x sunshine. It was organic and not forced. Adding werewolves to a fake relationship? Really fun storyline! I liked the conversations and the way the characters evolved through the book.
To be in a love haze means being so in love with another person that you can’t see your partner’s flaws, those little red flags that pop up. Love can be all consuming and oftentimes you give up little pieces of yourself in order to stay in that bubble.
Readers should expect a variety of relationships, where the mortal considers giving up themselves for just a moment more with their love.
