β€οΈ loved this book because...
It covered the German defeat in France, through pointing out that American and British planes demoralised the Germans in the same way that the Germans had demoralised the rest of Europe, through the use of Stuka bombers and Blitzkrieg tactics on the ground. It also pointed out that the Germans had lost out to the fresh American and Canadian troops, plus refreshed British elements, in an overwhelming flood of soldiers, tanks, planes, bombardment by sea and air, plus ammunition and food supplies. Another thing it hammered away at was that the Germans were battle hardened and continually counter attacked the allies, slowing down their advance. The Germans 'could' have thrown the allies back into the sea but for serious military blunders by those higher up the command chain.
