The world and characters of The Olympian Affair are so fully fleshed out that it is easy to get drawn into the dangers and intrigues that surround them. Each subplot and character added their own special spice to the story and constantly kept me engrossed in the dangers that threatened to engulf them. The world is incredible with creatures and dangers that are definitely one of a kind.
The fate of the Cinder Spires may be decided by crossed swords in the next exhilarating fantasy adventure in the New York Times bestselling series of noble families, swordplay, and airships.
For centuries the Cinder Spires have safeguarded humanity, rising far above the deadly surface world. Within their halls, aristocratic houses rule, developing scientific marvels and building fleets of airships for defence and trade. Now, the Spires hover on the brink of open war.
Everyone knows it's coming. The guns of the great airship fleets that control the skies between the last bastions of humanity will soon speak in anger,…
It's a great ghost story with a likable lead and an intriguing mystery to solve. The author combines science and the occult to craft an unsettling tale that kept me hanging onto my seat to the thrilling conclusion. Even though this is the fourth book in a series (the first one that I read), I felt perfectly at ease with the characters and was persuaded to read the rest of the series. The real-worldesque approach to occult events with scientific underpinnings really drew me in.

This book is more than it seems to be. It says that it's a ghost story, and this is true, but it is insufficient of a descriptor. This book is an emotionally fueled look into a single home with a group of tourists, who learn more about themselves through the titular six rooms. I felt deeply for these characters, while also learning more about the manifestations of the house.
Welcome, all, to the Sunshire Chateau: Lestershire’s premier tourist attraction. It sits high on a hill overlooking town, shrouded by tall trees and rumors of murder, scandal and intrigue. Tickets are hard to come by, so hold yours close, else the Tour Guide may not let you in. And that would be a pity, for there are so many things to see within these walls–history, glamor, and riches beyond your wildest imagination. Just remember the following rules: don’t wander off alone, don’t be rude to the Guide, and don’t, whatever you do, touch the valuables.
