Book cover of Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection

Sanman Thapa ❤️ loved this book because...

I recently listened to Charles’ interview on NPR, which I tune into daily during my commutes. After hearing him speak, I became curious and wondered, “Who is this Super Communicator?” I looked up his book, "Supercommunicators," and after reading the synopsis, I decided to invest my hard-earned money in it. I’m glad I did—it has been the best investment in a book I’ve made.

As a school counselor, I thought I knew how to communicate effectively, but this book made me realize that I've only scratched the surface. During my graduate studies, I learned very little about listening skills or concepts like transference and counter-transference.

Thank you for sharing your insights with the world. Now more than ever, we need to truly listen to each other and engage in meaningful conversations, even when they are uncomfortable. We are losing the art of civil discourse, not just in the U.S. but around the globe. Your book serves as a reminder of what we stand to lose if we don’t improve our communication skills.

Don‘t forget about my book 😀

A Fight for a Cup of Chai

By Sanman Thapa ,

Book cover of A Fight for a Cup of Chai

What is my book about?

A Memoir of Sacrifice, Solidarity, and the Quiet Power of Resistance

What began as a simple request for a cup of tea turned into a battle for dignity that would cost everything.

In the bustling factories of 1990s Kathmandu, Sanman Thapa—working long hours by day and attending college by night—stood shoulder to shoulder with fellow laborers to demand something many took for granted: a tea break, a moment of rest, a little humanity.

Their struggle would lead to confrontation, loss, and, for Sanman, a personal tragedy—losing his left hand to one of the very machines he relied on for survival. But out of pain rose to power. Out of silence, solidarity.

A Fight for a Cup of Chai is the true story of workers who dared to resist a system designed to break them, and of one man who refused to let injury, poverty, or fear define his future. As Nepal moved toward democracy, their story became a spark that lit a larger fire—one of union, resilience, and change.

“A modern-day The Jungle set in 1990s Nepal.”
“This book should be taught in every high school and college history class.”
“Raw, real, and unforgettable.”
Blending the harsh realities of factory life with the beauty of human connection and cultural pride, this memoir is perfect for readers of Educated, Behind the Beautiful Forevers, and anyone moved by stories of survival, justice, and hope.
