From the internationally bestselling author of In an Instant and Hadley & Grace comes Two Good Men, a searing drama about two men on a quest for justice—from opposite sides of the law.

Book cover of Generation Ship

❤️ loved this book because...

Generaion Ship is a huge book detailing the events on a colony ship carrying Earth's people to a new place, somewhere they can carry on their species. The ship has traveled for so long and so well it seems like it could just travel forever. Then a possibly habitable planet is discovered and people aren't sure they should check it out since it does have intelligent life.

I loved how broad a cast of characters this book had and how we got to know so many so well and to understand how their different jobs on the ship affected them.

This was a book that left me saying wow.

Why should I read it?

1 author picked Generation Ship as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

In this riveting, stand-alone novel from Michael Mammay, author of Planetside, the beginning of a new human colony must face tyrannical leaders, revolution, crippling instability, and an unknown alien planet that could easily destroy them all.

In 2108, Colony Ship Voyager departed Earth for the planet of Promissa with 18,000 of the world's best and brightest on board. 250 years and 27 light years later, an arrival is imminent.

But all is not well.

The probes that they've sent ahead to gather the data needed to establish any kind of settlement aren't responding, and the information they have received has…

Book cover of The Tainted Cup

❤️ loved this book because...

This book did such an excellent job of world-building, doing it by showing as we went along, not by narrating it like a documentary film voicebot. And it is such a vastly different world with technologies that are not in our world but are perfectly sensible in theirs. It has everything, mystery, romance, conspiracies, rebellions, treason, something for everyone.

In Daretana’s greatest mansion, a high imperial officer lies dead—killed, to all appearances, when a tree erupted from his body. Even here at the Empire’s borders, where contagions abound and the blood of the leviathans works strange magical changes, it’s a death both terrifying and impossible.

Assigned to investigate is Ana Dolabra, a detective whose reputation for brilliance is matched only by her eccentricities. Rumor has it that she wears a blindfold at all…
