SEASON OF THE DRAGON is a masterclass in world-building and a triumph for dragon lovers and feminists everywhere.
Strong female characters dominate this world, from the heroes to the villains, and I found myself drawn in by all of them and their dimensionality. Woman power weaves this story, intertwining threads of love and those of destruction, with the most satisfying moments focusing on the struggle for freedom, equality, and autonomy.
Each new place Wright introduces us to within the world of Indrasi is rich and lush, and something readers have yet to taste. From creatures like the Yindril, a combination of what we know of as a plant and animal that boosts the powers of human mages; to the landscapes of endless sand, turbulent rivers, and decadent palaces; to the garb worn by members of the Kovan Dynasty consisting of shark teeth, live butterflies, and barely there tunics.
Book 2, The Spring Dragon, releases March 1, 2025!
From award-winning author Natalie Wright, a sumptuous world of mages and rogues, dragons and dragomancers, mystery, myth, and court intrigue.

SUN DON'T SHINE is addictingly wonderful in the most heartbreaking and poignant way. I devoured this book in one sitting, unable to tear myself away. Reece's tale, though fictional, serves as a reflection of the harsh realities many face in America. She emerges as a resilient heroine, navigating through a landscape of profound sorrow with an unwavering spirit of hope. Despite the darkness surrounding her, her resilience shines through, guiding the reader through to the end.
Sixteen-year-old Reece is an expert at keeping secrets. She has to be, since her father abducted her ten years ago. For as long as she can remember, she's been on the run, sneaking food out of the dumpster and sleeping in the woods. Every time she moves, the same rules apply-cut your hair, change your name, and, above all, don't let anybody get too close. Reece has no choice except to obey Dad's orders. When Reece meets her first real friend, a boy named Shawn, she begins to realize that everyone else has secrets too. And the deadliest secret of…
"Kill For Love" is a thrilling, darkly humorous journey into the mind of a female serial killer, set against the backdrop of a superficial college Greek life obsessed with yoga, parties, and how many calories one puts into their bodies. While the characters may not be likable, the writing is sharp and engaging and the main character is absolutely fascinating, compelling you to devour the book in one or two sittings. What could initially be seen as a simple slasher tale reveals deeper layers of social commentary interwoven with the suspense and flash of a knife blade. For anyone seeking a fresh, intelligent read brimming with feminine rage and power, this is a must-read.
