This book opened up an unexplored world for me that I hadn’t seen right in front of me. We live with and alongside so many creatures that are largely alien to us and mostly are overlooked, misunderstood, or ignored because we need to eat them and can’t bear thinking about their experiences. This book showed me the strange new worlds that exist all around if we cared to look. It filled me with awe and appreciation for the complex evolutions of multiple species around me.
