❤️ loved this book because...
The Silence of the Girls tells my favorite Greek myth—the wrath of Achilles. It portrays the Greek hero’s flawed nature, allowing us to sympathize with his tragic fate. The writing is beautifully crafted, and through Briseis, the author gives voice to the often-overlooked suffering of Trojan women. But what moved me most was its exploration of love of the kind which wasn't romantic or intimate.
